Emma Breanna Brackett
Interview…

Emma Breanna Brackett is a caring, energetic, happy person.  Emma is in yearbook so she thought that photography class would be helpful.  She wants to learn the different functions on the camera.  She wishes that she could be taller.  Her greatest flaw is the scar on her face, and she would like to break the habit of biting her fingernails.  Emma’s biggest fear is bugs and spiders.  She prefers her phone over other technology, where she would be texting or on social media. She might most be found at school at track, yearbook, or helping out at in the sports medicine program.  She wishes that people would stop saying bae.  In ten years she sees herself married and starting a job.  If she could eat at one restaurant for the rest of her life she would choose Macaroni Grille.  If she were a super hero she would choose to read peoples minds, so that she could know what people are thinking so that she could help them.

Sketchbook cover

Personal Reflection to sketchbook cover......
1.  I took the picture with the camera on my phone.  I took the main photograph on a boat as we were leaving a island on a boat trip at the Dominican Republic.

2.  This a good picture from a compositional standpoint because it is centered, has shadow, good quality and has a story behind it.

3.  I value this photograph because it was taken on one of my favorite family vacations.  To me it shows how a such a poor, undeveloped is also so beautiful.  This island is uninhabited, can only be reached by boat and is only used for day use.  The locals that work on the island also cooked a huge Dominican lunch for all the guests on the boat which was extremely cool to get some of their own culture.

4.  My theme of my sketchbook is travel.  It shows the different contrast of places.
5.  The other pictures on my sketchbook are all of other pictures I've taken at different places.  Since all the pictures are all different I cut them all differently on my collage.  To write my name on the sketchbook I used flags of other places that I have been to and cut letters out of them.
6.  I used the principal design of hot and cold for my sketchbook.  Many pictures are blues and greens and then theirs the contrast of in a few pictures of yellow, oranges, and reds.

What is the most important element in a Photograph???(from online article)

While reading through the different photographers views on what makes a good photograph there seemed to be a few reoccurring topics.  The main topics were lighting and the emotional side of the picture that it tells a story.  Also many photographers stated that the picture should be interesting to viewers and meaningful.  I think that the most important element is that the picture tells a story and is meaningful.

My favorite photo is from a State Beach in California.  To me the image was really cool because of a couple things.  First, I have never seen the Pacific Ocean in “real life” before so that was a first for me.  It was also really cool because All the beached I’d ever been to before were at least somewhat populated.  This beach although was not, it was habited by lush greenery.  The picture is also from a family vacation to California. There’s also the cool feature of the clearer water in the backround.
