existing light
o Why is this person important to your life? He is my brother and is really important to me, we are like best friends since we are so close in age and we do everything together.
o How does their personality dictate your artistic decisions?
(type of light, mood, dress, posing, props, settings, etc.)
he is very lenient and would let me do whatever he wanted. i made him chane outfits a couple of times, from baseball uniform to nice school clothes, they made the pictures better. He can also be very down to earth which made me like using dark shadows on him. He loves to play baseball, be weird and is very smart which lead me to some of my prop choices. Matthew is younger than me and will do anything that i want him to do which is why i also wanted to photograph him
o How has this unit affected your photography?
This unit made it easier for me to connect to my "subjects" and has helped me to make better and deeper photographs.

1. He has a sense of humor yet can be serious and is in to athletics. He makes a serious face, his tongue sticks out and he is holding a baseball bat.
ReplyDelete2. She was able to use the different light to set the mood of the photos.
3. The baseball picture is a tad bit blurry.
1. He looks funny like he likes to joke around but can also be serious. He looks like he likes sports and maybe plays them.
ReplyDelete2. The photographer used the light in different ways to make effects like silhouette. She used mostly existing light and some artificial.
3. Get the camera to look more in focus with the model.
I thought this composition was done very well, using different lighting aspects. It would be helpful to make this a stronger composition by incorporating more natural light shots, getting a couple of them slightly more focused and maybe try to avoid getting the window frame in the background. It's a little bit distracting. I also like how she got some tighter shots of the subject and some slightly more far away. Overall, it is a good composition.
ReplyDeleteThe composition of this blog post is very nice, the black background of your blog complements the pictures very nicely. The second picture of the subject holding a baseball bat works very well to show the subjects personality. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to use more props in your other photos too. The 4th artificial lighting picture is nice because it shows the subject comfortable in front of the camera. Also the pictures use great composition because they are cropped so nothing in the background distracts from the photo.
